On the 19th of May we learnt about land artist Chris Drury.  The children looked at some of Chris’ work. Then we went to shore, where the children made art inspired by Chris Drury.

I loved shore art! I liked seeing the different art of Chris Drury and Richard Long.  My favourite art piece that I made at Shore was one that was built in a hole that I found.  I put rocks and leaves and flowers in it and a big rock in the middle. Blue P6.

I think everyone was good at it.  I liked it.  My art is shaped as a spiral. Oak P2.

I like the swirls and spirals in Chris Drury’s work.  At shore I used seaweed and some shells on the sand to create my own piece.  Tommy P6.

I like the art of Chris Drury.  He uses spirals and circles. I put shells in a swirl and dug it down into a whirlpool like the artist does.
