Mairi P2

When we were sailing the weather was very challenging, but it didn’t stop me.  I enjoyed getting to steer the boat and I liked doing the sails by pulling on the ropes.

Nolan P4

I liked steering the boat.  I learned how to tack the sails when the wind changed direction.  I enjoyed pulling on the ropes.  The weather was very wet and grey, but I had fun anyway!

Corynn P4

I liked doing the tacking with the ropes.  We also did some team building games inside, I liked the one with lots of numbers.

 Aoife P7

I liked tacking using the ropes.  I also liked leaning back when it was tilting.

Oak P1

The sailing was really fun, I liked being in the boat.

Eilidh P7

I liked sailing and especially when you had to hook your feet under the strap and lean back to keep the boat stable.

Tommy P5

I had never been sailing before, I was excited to try it.  I really enjoyed leaning back out of the boat to help keep it stable.  I spotted an otter in the bay!

Blue P5

I enjoyed doing the tacking with the ropes to work the sails.  It was fun even though the weather wasn’t great.  I love being on the sea.

Ross P7

I liked tacking the ropes and sail.  We had to lean back when the boat was tilting to one side so it didn’t capsize.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

Article 24 (health and health services)
Every child has the right to the best
possible health. Governments must
provide good quality health care, clean
water, nutritious food, and a clean
environment and education on health
and well-being so that children can stay
healthy. Richer countries must help poorer
countries achieve this.

Article 15 (freedom of association)
Every child has the right to meet with
other children and to join groups and
organisations, as long as this does not stop
other people from enjoying their rights.
